I thought I would show you a few of our favorites taken on the farm over the last few months.
We are very lucky to live in the kind of place where wildlife can literally run over your feet. My son was walking through our woods one late August evening when a group of young badger cubs came tumbling down the steep bank and rolled right over his feet! They had been playfighting, lost their balance and rolled down the hill like a football! They came to rest on the path next to him, took one look and scarpered - just like a gang of naughty schoolboys! A special moment to remember.
A Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary
A Common Spotted Orchid. Not so common here actually. Most of ours are Heath Spotted or Early Purple.
